You’ve really been on a classification/names kick recently, haven’t you?
— sandjack

I’ve found that it fits the project. :)

**

You won’t hate me if I say I’m on the woglies’ side?
— Matt

Nope! But it’s almost as dangerous as blaming them.

**

So, Broderick is a rat, a critic, AND a (parrot)?
— silversmoke

And a djinn. (And chthonic?)
— David

Accurate … but incomplete!

**

I was originally going to say that this was a sad story, but it isn’t.

It’s an “is” story. That is it is a story that describes the state of the world, and as such it is neither sad nor happy until we know the conclusion.
— Senji

I think that’s true. Sid’s story isn’t over by any means.

**

Does John’s chest wound eventually get filled with a puppy?
— silversmoke

No, but good catch. The two circumstances are related. :)

**

So: is EIN supposed to come from EIN SOF?
— S

Eden Industries Null. Special Operations Four-door, if you must. :)

Sure, but what do EIN and LUCIFARR stand for?
— Jason

And LUCIFARR, of course, stands for Lux Unicron Cneph Indigo Farr. (The last word is from the Vulcan, and means ‘steamy’). Naming conventions were heterogeneous and iconoclastic back then due to the primordial state of the Eden Industries Standards Institute.

Without being a raving fanboy…
— Shallows

*giggle* Feel free to be raving fans in comments. I assert that two major purposes for commenting are to maintain my sense that this endeavor is worthwhile and to help me get a sense for which entries the readers are enjoying. I love it when y’all shock me with your insights and such, but if that were the point or a requirement, I would reply more often than once a month.

**
That’s it for now! Thanks for reading, thanks for commenting—even if you didn’t get thanked for a compliment or picked for a specific response—and see you again this coming month!

Rebecca

P.S.

Because, just as a scorpion cannot deny its nature, neither can a hero — even when it will mean his final death?
— Archangel Beth

Sabin actually denied his nature for quite some time. :)

It’s just … in the long run, denying one’s nature is pretty difficult. Particularly when the only reason you have to do so is personal survival.

That’s why there are heroes in the world.
