I almost think I like your photo entries better than the text… though the photos are a lot more meaningful surrounded by words, so I’m not sure.

It reminds me of an old sanitarium here in Tuscaloosa, only someone has snuck in to take a photo, and is posting from the view from just inside the gates. So they’re inside, looking out, and about to leave again.
Of course, I’m probably projecting on the Rorschach nature of the image here, but we always see ourselves inside art, as well as the artist and the subject itself…

So, are we on the outside looking in, or the inside looking out? its hard to tell, with some gates.

I have a suspicion it’s up to the viewer to determine which they think; I’ll be surprised if we’re actually told which of the two it is.
So what do you think? Tell us your impression.

Regardless, it’s still brighter on the other side.

There are some gates you can only pass through once … for some reason, I get the impression these are that kind of gate.

This photo link is also broken, but based on its name I assume it’s the same image as http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-101844-mystery-gate.php.

(Also it is confusing to me that Chapter 1 and Storyline 1 end in different places–or at least that Storyline 1 is smaller than Chapter 1, when I’d expect the opposite from their names…)
